World Cup: Super Eagles Preview

As the Super Eagles play their first group game today against Croatia,gaffer,Gernot Rohr is expected to employ the regulars in the team to execute the game with little or no changes.

Reports say he would start majority of his starting team against Czech Republic in their friendly affair for the Super Eagles’ Group D opening match at the Kaliningrad Stadium.

German coach Rohr started with a 4 – 2 – 3 – 1 formation in the 1 – 0 defeat to Czech, and progressed to a 3 – 5 – 2 style which stabilized the game.

Punch reports that the regulars were separated from the rest of the team in their final training.

Hence, young goalkeeper Francis Uzoho is expected to be in goal, with Shehu Abdullahi at right-back and Brian Idowu at left-back
