Victor Ikpeba Warns Nigerians After Eagles Defeat To Croatia

By Ikenga Chronicles June 17, 2018

Former Nigeria striker, Victor Ikpeba, has told Nigerians what to do after the Super Eagles suffered a 2-0 defeat to Croatia in their opening Group D match on Saturday night.

Oghenekaro Etebo’s own goal and a Luka Modric penalty, ensured that Gernot Rohr’s men began the tournament on a bad note.

But Ikpeba, writing on his verified Twitter account, said Nigerians should desist from insulting coaches and players.

He insisted that all hope is not lost as the Eagles are not out yet.

“Criticism is part of football. But our people should desist from insulting our players and coaches.

“We are not out of the World Cup yet,” he tweeted.

Nigeria take on Iceland in their next group game on Friday, needing to win to remain in the competition.
