Trump’s Victory And End Of The World Prophecies

No, this is not about T.B Joshua’s prophecy about a “Woolman” winning the U.S Presidential elections. It isn’t even about Geda–the monkey– being a better prophet than the revered man of God. It is about the eye with which countless people now see our future following Mr. Donald Trump’s emergence as the next president of the United States of America.

As we are wont to say in this part of the world, “they never h’experredit”! But the fact is that Donald Trump is the President-elect of the United States of America. Haters of the man, in a way of providing some form of consolation for themselves (just to ease the waves of pain currently besieging them) may be busy coming up with different scenarios that will make it possible for the election’s verdict to be upturned, and Hillary Clinton sworn in as the 45th President of the United States, but it is at best wishful thinking as we used to do when we were younger, after our favourite football team had lost a game. Come hell or high water, by January next year, Donald Trump will become the 45th President of America.

The protesters of course have legitimate reasons, after all, America is a democracy. But it is also this democratic spirit that led to them electing a man the world sees as the beginning of the end of our world as we know it.

But Donald will not be the end of the world as we know it in the sense that most people expect it– worse things have happened. The problem though is that many world leaders are not worried about Donald Trump for the sake of America. They are worried about him, for their own selfish reasons. They are worried that with him as president of the United States, they will all be forced out of their diapers and made to either grow up or perish.

For years now, America has played the big brother role. This has made many countries to become irresponsible. With Trump at the helm, it is feared that every world leader will have to become fully responsible for the welfare of his or her people. An therein lies the fear of an end to our world!

For instance, it is rumoured that already, Trump has stated that three million undocumented immigrants will be deported immediately he takes office. That is three million fresh responsibilities to be shared amongst several leaders of the world. Leaders who as yet have not even been able to take care of the little responsibilities that they have at present.

I imagine that Nigeria has a large chunk of this number. So suddenly, President Buhari’s government, which has not even been able to cater for the needs of the people already in Nigeria, will suddenly be forced to make provisions for thousands more, just like that!So then, by that singular act of a Trump victory, more responsibilities are thrust the way of so many world leaders at once!

The real question then is; what percentage of world leaders is ready to become responsible? The answer to that question will determine whether we will have widespread collapse of world leadership structures, or a more strengthened system. And it is in that vein that a Trump presidency will mark an end of our world as we know it–either way.
