Tinubu, Aregbesola, Ambode Shun Ondo State APC Campaign Grand Finale

The simmering disaffection within the leadership of the All Progressives Congress(APC)got to its peak on Saturday, November 19 as the National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, Lagos State governor, Akinwumi Ambode, Rauf Aregbesola of Osun boycotted the grand finale of the party’s campaign rally ahead of the Nov. 26 governorship election.

President Muhammadu Buhari who graced the occasion expressed satisfaction with the September 3 governorship primary that produced Rotimi Akeredolu as the candidate of the party.

The absence of the notable leaders of the South-West bloc might be in connection with the crisis in the party over the emergence of Akeredolu against the wish of Tinubu who had endorsed Abraham as his preferred candidate for the election.

Buhari, who indirectly took a swipe Tinubu at the rally witnessed by Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Chairman of APC’s governors’ forum, Rochas Okorocha said the people of the state should make up their mind and vote for APC so that they could join other South-west governors in the progressive forum.

He added that the candidate would bring Federal Government presence to the state if elected as governor.
