The African Union has concluded plans to repatriate no fewer than 20,000 stranded migrants from Libya to their respective homes in the next six weeks. African Union made the decision following the meeting of a Task Force comprising of the AU, European Union and United Nations officials.

Nigerians Have Murdered More South Africans–South Africa’s Home Affairs Minister

Following xenophobic attacks on Nigerians by South Africans, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Nigeria’s Presidential aide on Foreign Affairs has called on the African Union to look into the issue, saying that about 116 Nigerians have been killed in South Africa over the past two years, with over 20 murdered last year. South Africa’s Minister of Home Affairs, Malusi Gigaba has now asked in return if the discussion should also take into account the number of South Africans killed by Nigerians.
