Show Comedians Respect–Bash Da Cash

Nigerian stand-up comedian, Bash, has stated that the trend of musicians feeling more superior to comedians must change in the entertainment industry come 2017.

According to the hilarious rib-cracker who re-branded earlier in the year from ‘Bash’ to ‘Bash Da Cash’, the job of a comedian is more tasking and makes more impact on the audience.

He  lamented the manner in which some artistes look down on comedians just because they feel they are better entertainers than comedians or because they believe their craft is superior to that of comedians.

He therefore stated that all entertainers should see themselves as equals because no craft is superior to the other.

“A lot of things need to change in our music industry, especially the level of respect musicians give to comedians.”

“A lot of them go on social media to sell their social life and other things. I don’t want to call names, not because I’m scared to call names but I don’t just want to. I would like us to sell our products, our craft, instead of selling our social life.”

“Secondly, I think comedians need to be shown more respect, because right now we are doing the toughest job in the world, which is to make people laugh, even in recession.”

“We’re not even being paid as much as we’re worth even after performing for a long period of time on stage, unlike artistes who perform for a lesser time and get better paid. Seriously, comedians need to be more respected” he said emphatically.
