Shiites Shut Down National Assembly

The National Assembly was tension soaked on Thursday afternoon, as members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria popularly called Shi’ites barricaded the National Assembly Complex demanding the release of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

As of the time of filing this report, armed riot policemen have taken positions at strategic locations in front of the National Assembly.

Ikenga Chronicles  learnt from credible sources that Senate President Bukola Saraki was not comfortable on hearing that the Shiites have taken over the National Assembly complex.
