Police Lead Armed Thugs To Invade Rivers Government House

The Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, has alleged that the Police led some armed thugs to attack the Rivers State Government House, Port Harcourt.

According to Mr. Nwakaudu, the attack was led by a senior Police officer, in the person of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Steven Hasso.

The allegation is coming as the tension in the state continues to grow ahead of the December 10 re-runs.

The Rivers State Police Command has however denied this allegation. The State Command Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Onmoni denied the allegations in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria;

“How can we invade government house, no it is not true, police cannot invade the government house.”
