Osinbajo,Okowa, Kachikwu Meet Behind Closed Doors In Gbaramatu Kingdom

As part of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s working visit to Niger Delta for the purpose of stemming the tide of renewed militancy in the region, the Vice President has on Monday arrived Gbaramatu Kingdom amidst jubilation and fanfare.

According to reports, Osinbajo, who arrived Oporoza, the traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom in a Nigerian Navy helicopter, paid a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler of Gbaramatu Kingdom.

Youths, children welcomed Osinbajo with various dances by different groups.

Osinbajo and other members of the delegation comprising Governor Ifeanyi Okowa; Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, and Ijaw traditional rulers then held a meeting behind closed doors.

The meeting lasted for about 30 minutes after which the delegation was led to the pavilion where thousands of Ijaw indigenes were waiting to have a session with the members.

As of press time, Ikenga Chronicles is yet to find out the details of the meeting that was held behind closed doors.
