Onuigbo, Orji Support Plans For The Reconstruction Of Schools And Health Centres In Ikwuano

The 2016 Annual Convention/Gala Night of Ikwuano National Development Association USA/Canada was held at Laurel Baltimore, USA early July. Hosted by the Delaware-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) Chapter. The event which held from Friday, July 1 to Sunday, July 3, 2016, was attended by the Presidents and members of the association’s chapters in the USA and Canada.

The development association had prior to the event stated that the proceeds from this year’s convention will be devoted to the reconstruction of some health centers and schools in Ikwuano Local Government Area, Abia State. This was in line with the association’s commitment to support government, in making life easier for the people of the LGA.

Rep Sam Onuigbo who was the Special Guest of Honour at the ceremony used the opportunity to explain the efforts he was making towards the rehabilitation and the reconstruction of the Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene Road and other developmental projects. Onuigbo, who is the Member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South Federal Constituency explained that he will always be committed to the development of his constituency, as he was elected to serve.

The Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial Zone, His Excellency, Senator T.A. Orji and Rep Sam Onuigbo both made handsome financial contributions towards the successful reconstruction of the health centers and school projects in Ikwuano.

In their letter of appreciation jointly signed by the Delaware-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) Chapter President, Obinna Atuonwu and the National President, Freddy Godfrey Otuokere, the association thanked the Senator and the Honourable Member for their support and for always identifying with them. They promised to use the proceeds of the Convention for the projects they were meant for
