Onuigbo Charges Beneficiaries Of His Basic Business Training Programme To Be Exemplary

A two-week Basic Business Training for selected participants from Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency powered by the member representing the Federal Constituency at the National Assembly Chief Sam Onuigbo has ended with a call on the beneficiaries to make good use of knowledge gained to develop themselves and society.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the programme, the sponsor and member for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency Chief Sam Onuigbo said he decided to organise/sponsor the Basic Business Training Programme facilitated by the National Directorate for Employment(NDE) under its Small Scale Enterprises Department in the state as part of his Human Capital Development and capacity building and to equip budding entrepreneurs in his constituency. He added that he will continue to sponsor more of such programmes.

Chief Onuigbo who was represented by a former Transition Committee Chairman of Ikwuano Local Government Area, Prince Henry Eluogu while describing ideas and knowledge as crucial for personal and societal development, congratulated the beneficiaries for the successful completion of the programme and wished them well in their endevours.

In her remarks, the Abia State Coordinator of the National Directorate of Employment, Lady Buchi Ojei represented by the Head, Department of Small Scale Enterlrise Pastor Boyle Okwandu who appreciated the Federal lawmaker for the partnership and his numerous achievements noted that the twenty-two participants at the training were exceptional in their conduct and performance and will be awarded the certificates for the programme, and assured them of NDE’s readiness to assist them whenever necessary.

In their goodwill messages, the Director General Odozi Obodo Foundation Elder Obioma Okechukwu, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Women and Children Affairs Mrs Chinyere Ehilegbu and the Senior Legislative Aide to Rep. Sam Onuigbo, Elder Abraham Osondu urged the beneficiaries to always put to practise what they were taught so as to excel. They expressed joy at the achievements of Chief Sam Onuigbo and called on the Ikwuano/Umuahia people to obtain their PVCs so as to re-elect Chief Onuigbo for more democracy dividends.

Responding, some of the beneficiaries including Mr Dickson Emmanuel, Miss Goodness Chijioke, Nkeiruka Ogbuji and Prince Onyedikachi Emezi appreciated the sponsor of the programme Chief Sam Onuigbo and the NDE for equipping them with the needed knowledge for their businesses and called for more of such programmes while wishing Chief Onuigbo well in all his endevours.

Highlight of the programme was the presentation of certificates and stipends to participants.
