Okorocha Supports Aisha; Asks for Cabinet Reshuffle and Inclusive Government

Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha may have confirmed a recent revelation by Aisha Buhari, the wife of the president, that a cabal had taken over the administration of Buhari while those who battled to get him in have been neglected. A leader in the northern part of the country, Junaid Mohammed, has also confirmed that the president’s handlers were not doing him any good as they were replaying the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua saga.

Okorocha, the chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, further asked the president to hearken to the voice of Nigerians calling for a reshuffling of his cabinet.

There had been calls by Nigerians for the president to reshuffle his cabinet with the argument that nearly two years into his administration, nothing worthwhile had happened.

Okorocha is quoted as saying:
“Quite frankly, I’m a governor and I know where the shoe pinches more. “If there is a clarion call for Mr President to take a look at his cabinet and bring in more people, there is nothing wrong for Mr President to take note of comments by people because if everyone keeps saying the same thing, there may be sense in what they’re saying. But that’s not really the situation that would create for a big hullabaloo.”

“Most [members]of the party felt that they have not been carried along. I know that many of them complain everyday. They want board appointments released so that there will be calm.”

“The people from the southeast said they have not been appointed, the people from the northeast and even from the northwest where Mr President comes from said they have not been appointed; some local governments and villages are saying they have not been remembered.

“So, at what point do we draw this line? But there is always room for amendment because there is no perfection.”
