The Oba of Benin is dead. The announcement was made on Friday afternoon by the Iyase of Benin, Chief Sam Igbe.
Born on June 22nd, 1923, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Omo n’Oba n’Edo Uku Akpolopkolo Erediauwa was the 38th Oba of Benin.
Cause of death is as yet, uncertain.
