Nnamdi Kanu Explodes In Court, Refuses Secret Trial And Calls Out Buhari

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has rejected the government’s position that his trial will be held in secret.

Kanu made this known following the ruling of Justice Binta. According to him;

“I must also be allowed to stand my trial in public.I won’t stand this travesty of Justice. Buhari spoke in public, he accused me in public.I cannot be tried in secret. No! Nnamdi Kanu cannot be jailed in secret!”

He further stated that the killing of “his people” was done in public, and as such, it is necessary for him to also give his own testimony in public, and let the world know what is really going on in the country:

“There will be no screening of witnesses, no fake identities or fake addresses. I will give testimony before this court!By the time I finish, there will be no Nigeria. This is no Sharia court.”

Mr. Kanu further called out the government of Muhammadu Buhari for persistently flouting court orders.

“Why must I be tried in secrecy by a government that does not obey court orders?”.

There have been incidences of judges granting bail to both Mr. Kanu and the former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki, with President Buhari stating on live television that he does not care what the courts say,that both Kanu and Dasuki will never be released.
