Mourinho’s United Fate Decided

Jose Mourinho’s fate has been decided by the Manchester United board, and made it clear that he would not be sacked by the club any time soon.

This is after the board reportedly dismissed speculation of attempts to lure former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane for his signature.

The Portuguese coach won the Europa League, EFL Cup and Community Shield in his first season as Red Devil’s boss, but failed to pick up any silverware last term.

Zidane is yet to pick up any job after quitting the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of last season, a development that has helped link him to the Old Trafford job with the not too convincing performance of the Special One so far.

However, the Daily Mail reports that Mourinho retains the full backing of the Manchester United board despite the back to back defeat at the Amex Stadium.

Manchester United take on Spurs at Old Trafford next Monday before a tricky trip to Burnley the following week in what is shaping up to be a difficult start for the Red Devils.
