Mikel Scores To Give Chelsea Hope Of A Champions League Semi-Final Berth

John Mikel Obi played Chelsea into contention for the quarter finals of the UEFA champions league with a 46th minute goal. Although PSG won 2-1, Mikel’s goal places Chelsea in a good position with the London club now needing a 1-0 win at home to qualify. Mikel, who was responsible for the free kick (and the eventual deflection) that led to PSG’s first goal from an Ibrahimovic free kick, responded with a well taken control and volley. PSG was to take the lead again through Edison Cavani in the 78th minute.
