Major Boost for Super Eagles As Ikeme Returns

Football lovers in Nigeria can now put their minds to rest over the fitness of Super Eagles goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme.

Ikeme’s injury was becoming a major source of worry to the Gernort Rohr-led Eagles as they battled for a replacement.

His absence has also forced the coach to a possible return talks with former Super Eagles, skipper, Vincent Enyeama who had an untimely exit of the national team.

However, Ikeme has recovered from the hip injury that kept him out of the World Cup qualifier against Algeria.

Wolves lost 2-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday last weekend with Ikeme an unused substitute, while compatriot Dominic Iorfa played the entire game.

Wolves are now flirting with relegation under new manager Paul Lambert as they are 21st on the 24-team table with 18 points from as many matches.
