JUST IN: Protest Hits Ondo Over INEC’s Removal Of Jegede’s Name

Violence took over a significant part of Akure, the Ondo State capital Friday morning as residents hits the street to protest the removal of the name of the governorship candidate of the PDP, Eyitayo Jegede from the
final list of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

It was reportedly gathered that major highways in the capital city and other parts of the state have been blocked by protesters burning tires. Activities in the capital city is at lull as residents stay indoor over fear that the protest might soon escalate.

The alleged plan by Jimoh Ibrahim to visit the state today have been shelved for fear of being attacked.
