Invest At Home—Rep. Onuigbo Charges Ikwuano People In America

The member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South federal constituency has charged Ikwuano people resident in the United States of America and Canada to seriously consider investing back home as a means of securing their future, solving the unemployment needs of the people of Ikwuano, and attracting greater government attention to the Local Government Area.

The honourable member who pointed out that several investment opportunities abound for Ikwuano people at home, stated that the Local Government Area, as a chief producer of cocoa, palm products, cassava, yam, etc, in the South East, can be home to processing industries that will see to the conversion of these products into secondary products that can be exported, thus raising the Internally Generated Revenue(IGR) of Abia State and Nigeria, and consequently drawing government’s attention to the many infrastructural needs of the people of Ikwuano.

He explained that while the contract for total reconstruction has been awarded, he is stillworking hard to ensure that the contract for the dualization is awarded.

The federal lawmaker who explained that his focus has always been on finding ways to address the many challenges of his people, promised to continue to work hard to address the challenges facing the entire people of Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South federal constituency.
