I Was Lucky To Have Chosen Nigeria–Victor Moses

By Ikenga Chronicles December 6, 2016

Chelsea winger, Victor Moses feels lucky to have chosen the Nigerian national team against the English national team, a top source says.

The in-form Chelsea player had represented England at the junior level but chose his fatherland due to influence from family members and most importantly, his former coach in Nigeria.

The former Wigan Athletic star said he was quick to learn from mistakes made by Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor and other players of Nigerian descent like John Fashanu and John Salako who were later dumped.

“Victor Moses was having a double mind about representing the Super Eagles. He didn’t want to play for Nigeria” a top source close to Moses told allnigeriasoccer.com.

“His coach in Nigeria and senior brother who lives in the United States convinced him to choose the Super Eagles.”

“They told him that the Nigerians born in England like Agbonlahor were used for friendly games and unimportant matches by the Three Lions, and he has more chance to play for Nigeria, so that convinced him.”
