I am Not A Coward, I Will Not Step Down–Yahya Jammeh

By Ikenga Chronicles December 21, 2016

The embattled Gambian President Yahya Jammeh  has insisted that he would not step down while condemning the alleged bias mediation of the West African regional bloc ECOWAS.

Jammeh  had initially accepted the results of the presidential election but suddenly  reversed his position , claiming that the poll was marred with irregularities.

Reacting to ECOWAS position on the matter, Jammeh said; “I am not a coward. My right cannot be intimidated and violated. This is my position. Nobody can deprive me of that victory except the Almighty Allah.”

“Already the ECOWAS meeting was a formality. Before they came, they had already said Jammeh must step down. I will not step down” he said.
