How is Google Pixel Different from Other Android Phones?

The mobile technology in the last quarter of the year has been awash with news of some out-of-the-box deals and entrants in the arena. Amongst others, Apple coming out with the iPhone 7 and Google going beyond software to try a hand on hardware with their flagship Pixels topping the log. Samsung though made news from the other end of the table by producing the the first explosive phones (don’t mind me). But that’s about it.

On IkengaTech today though, we will set the floodlight on the Google Pixel phones made by HTC. We are not doing a review of the devices, but we will rather look at the reason behind the hype, and the rationale for the noise.

Android, as known by all is a product of Google. But why is a Google Android phone different from other android phones?

We present four features that can only be found on the Pixel at the moment.

Google Assistant: The Pixel is the first Android smartphone to come with the latest version of Android Nougat and built-in Google Assistant. It is similar to Siri on the iOS and you can talk to Google to get your day-to-day activities done. However, we are not sure whether Google will keep its Assistant exclusive to Pixel phones
only given that it is already available on its Allo chat app and developers have already found easy fixes to get it on any Android Nougat phone.

Unlimited Google Photos backup: If you are using Google Photos to save images then it is good news for you. Pixel and Pixel XL will offer unlimited storage for your photos and videos in original quality on Google Photos.

Pixel Launcher: Like any other launchers, the Pixel launcher is also a cosmetic feature that will remain exclusive to Pixel phones for now.

24×7 Chat Support: If you face any problems with your new Pixel smartphone, you can contact customer support via chat anytime.
