Hillary Clinton Wins Big On Super Tuesday

With wins in Ohio, Florida, Illinois and North Carolina, and a delegate count of 1488, to Bernie Sanders’ 704, Hillary Clinton has opened up what one may call an insurmountable lead over the Vermont senator.Clinton’s victories on Super Tuesday firmly place her in the driving seat as the democratic nomination tapers to an end.Speaking to supporters, as the results began to come in, Clinton enthused;
“We are moving closer to securing the Democratic Party nomination and winning this election in November!”

While Bernie Sanders has ruled out the possibility of dropping out of the race now, Clinton’s favourite-status has become re-established with recent victories, after the New Hampshire setback.

Donald Trump on the other hand continue to also garner votes, and is the firm favourite to get the Republican ticket.Many pundits are beginning to see this as a straight race for the White House, between Clinton and Trump.
