Goodluck Jonathan Delivers Preliminary Report On AU’s Election Monitoring In Zambia

Former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who is now widely known as Africa’s symbol of free and fair elections has submitted his team’s preliminary reports on the Zambian elections. It will be recalled that Dr. Jonathan is head of the African Union’s election monitoring team to the Zambia.

Jonathan pointed out that the elections were peaceful and orderly;

“I’d like to congratulate the people of Zambia for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the general elections and wish them continued success”

Jonathan later visited the Zambian Election Results Centre, to inquire of the progress being made in collating and releasing the results.

It is expected that with Jonathan bringing his experiences to bear, African nations will begin to have freer and fairer elections– which has been the bane of the continent’s democracy for centuries.
