From The Lunatic’s Pad: In Nigeria, Ghosts Are Alive, Hale and Hearty.

Everything about Nigeria is unique. For example, this is the only country where ghosts are alive. They live amongst people and carry out acts that living people do. On the 24th of September, they visited Ilorin, where the Senate President, Bukola Saraki went for prayers, and attempted to stone him. However, the ghosts didn’t know the real person called Saraki, so they stoned someone that looked like him.

The news hit the media that Saraki was stoned, but the Senate President knows he wasn’t stoned, and gave a report to that effect.

The police however, to show that they were on ground, and to avoid being tagged inefficient — since they are trying to join the change crew, and must therefore put on clothes and live in a way that depict change–have gone ahead and arrested eight ghosts — sorry, men– for being responsible. Just to be on the safe side, you know.

Soon, the ghosts– erm, men– will “escape custody” .

Well, Saraki wasn’t stoned. What happened was the work of ghosts attempting to stone a Saraki look alike. Those fellows are still alive, going strong, and stoning people.

One more thing, even Nigerian ghosts are politically aligned. Isn’t this country unique?
