By Ikenga Chronicles December 23, 2016
The latest FIFA ranking shows that the  Super Eagles have made progress  by finishing 8th in Africa but dropped one place in the World Ranking to 51st.
The downward movement of the Eagles in the World ranking can be attributed to the fact that the team did not kick the ball in the month but it’s latest results in the continent made African progress possible.
World Cup qualifiers group opponent Cameroon and Zambia fell  behind the Eagles as they occupy the 65th and 88th places respectively with Zambia moving by three points. Algeria, however, are still ahead of the Eagles.
However, the Super Eagles, three times African champions are behind Senegal, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Congo Dr and Burkina Faso, but are ahead of Ghana and Morocco who are 9th and 10th respectively.
In the world, Argentina remain top while Brazil, Germany, Chile and Belgium make up the top five in the ranking for November respectively , with Colombia, France, Portugal, Uruguay and Spain completing the top ten ranked teams in the world.
