FIFA Chooses New Venue For World Player Award Ceremony

The world football governing body FIFA has chosen a new venue for the 2019 edition of the World Player Award ceremony after holding the last two editions in London.

FIFA have confirmed Milan, Italy as host city for the coming edition of the prestigious ceremony on Monday after a meeting in Nyon Switzerland.

Apart, from announcing new host city, FIFA also introduced new award categories to complement the ones already on ground.

The newly introduced include FIFA women’s best goalkeeper and Fifpro women’s world eleven.

In all there are 11 award categories to be contested for in Milan and September 23rd had being fixed for the event.

It would be recalled that  Croatia and Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric clinched the last award beating the duo of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
