FG To Invest N3.5Trillion In MMM

By Ikenga Chronicles November 10, 2016

The presidency has decided to push 3.5trillion into Nigeria’s must popular financial program in recent times- the Mavrodi Mundial Movement, popularly called MMM.

The Federal Government acknowledged that the MMM scheme has become the highest single source of financial empowerment cutting across all tribes and religions at a time when government is helpless decided to Pinot in some funds so that they too can raise money from it.

The FG emphasized that unlike other government empowerment programmes, the MMM scheme has defeated some of Nigeria’s most endemic problems of tribalism and favoritism. ‘It is a demonstration of hard work. It encourages reach-out, promotes the ability to speak convincingly, and enhances group involvement.’ He said.

The funding, he stated will help government fulfill some of its promises to Nigerians.

A government source said he was already at home with some MMM terms like GH and PH, and that he believed the present government will produce the richest number of Nigerian middle class through the scheme.

He said a meeting has been scheduled with Sergei Mavrodi in the first week of December to see how the platform could be reformed to make it a fully government programme while the Russian and his team continue the management.

Asked about how the government would push the money in since MMM pattern is usually in the form of donating and getting back with increased percentages, he laughed.

‘You see, my friend, that’s simple enough. We will only Provide Help, and won’t Get Help. That way, the money keeps coming in but we don’t take it out.’

Some participants in the scheme are skeptical, saying government should entirely stay off so they don’t bring their way of never completing things. A major participant who says he’s a Guider in the scheme said he doesn’t trust government’s involvement. He said he’s afraid that the government only wanted to get involved in order to have a way to end it.

So far, there are hopes from others that government putting in their funds would help restore confidence in the programme.

  • If you believe this though, you might as well believe that Michelle Obama will be sworn in as America’s next president after her husband.
