FG Plotting To Cause Crises In Rivers State–Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has raised alarm over an alleged plot by the Federal Government to cause chaos in Rivers State.

He claimed that the attack on his convoy by operatives of the Special Anti-robbery Squad and soldiers attached to the Minister of Transport, Chibuike Amaechi, was a pointer to a grand ploy to plunge the state into crisis.

Wike made this disclosure on Sunday during a thanksgiving service at the State Ecumenical Centre in Port Harcourt to mark the “Global Human Settlements Outstanding Contribution Award “ bestowed on him by the Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements Awards (SCAHSA).

Wike further accused the Federal Government of using the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, to cause crises in the state through contrived judgments.

His words: “The President, Court of Appeal is being used to cause a crisis in Rivers State. When you see that something is going bad, let your people know. That is what I am doing. Despite the fact that the appeal on the local government matter has been scheduled for February 2018 at the Supreme Court, the President Of the Court of Appeal has set up a special panel for the matter.”

Wike further claimed that the appellate court was being used to create an atmosphere of conflict in the state to pave the way for the central government to execute something sinister.
