Fayose’s Ex-Attorney General Dumps PDP For APC

The immediate past Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ekiti State, Mr. Owoseni Ajayi, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mr. Ajayi said he dumped the PDP to join forces with the progressives in the APC to ensure that “Ekiti does not become a Gestapo state where an individual obsessed with power dictates to the rest of the state.”

Ajayi said the PDP candidate for the Ekiti gubernatorial elections was a “toy boy” whose victory at the primary was manipulated contrary to tenets of democracy.

Announcing his decision at a news conference in Ado Ekiti, Ajayi expressed regret that Gov. Ayo Fayose allegedly refused to allow a genuine reconciliation in the PDP, and that the dissolution of the state executive council of the party by the governor on June 11, was targeted at him and a former Commissioner for Public Utilities, Mr. Deji Adesua.
