Expose Corruption And Get 5% Of Recovered Funds, FG Tells Nigerians

By Ikenga Chronicles December 21, 2016

As part of its efforts to fight corruption to a standstill, the Federal Government during today’s Federal Executive Council meeting has put in place a whistle blowing policy.The whistle blowing policy encourages private and public servants to report all forms of corruption within their sphere.

According to the official handle of the Presidential Villa, @asorock, the;

“New FGN Whistleblowing Policy will be in place until relevant legislation is passed by the National Assembly”

This policy, which was described as a stop-gap until the National Assembly passes the whistleblowing law “will protect not only whistleblowing public servants but also private sector, e.g. Bankers”

This policy has become imperative as government continues to put in place measures to combat corruption.

According to the policy, whistle blowers also stand a chance to make money out of it;

“The new FGN #Whistleblowing Policy may provide UP TO five (5) percent of RECOVERED funds as a reward to whistleblowers”

This is some form of incentive to encourage the people to commit to it.
