El Rufai Is An Accidental Chronic Liar –Group

A coalition of Nigerian youths, involving the National Committee of Yoruba Youths and the Nigeria Democracy Vanguards have strongly condemned what it termed as the unguarded, provocative and uncharitable statement credited to the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, on former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
The youths said El-Rufai must definitely be suffering from selective amnesia for disrespecting and accusing Abubakar, the Turaki Adamawa, of several frivolous offences and unproven acts of corruption.
In a statement jointly signed on behalf of the coalition by Comrade Odeyemi Oladimeji, the President of NCYY, and Femi Lawson, the group said it is worrisome to see such statement coming from El-Rufai who, by all standards, lacks the capacity to accuse anyone of being corrupt.
The statement said: “May we remind Governor Nasir El-Rufai of the many allegations of corruption that are still pending in his name, coupled with several members of his inner circle, who have held Kaduna state hostage since his emergence as the Governor of the State.”
The group further said with the recent adventure of Governor El-Rufai, there is no doubt that he has elevated himself from being an “Accidental Public servant” to a “Chronic Accidental Lair”.
The group further said it wishes to remind El-Rufai of the unforgettable role that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar played in his accession into political relevance from the time Abubakar brought him to the Bureau Public Enterprises and subsequently nominated him as a Federal Minister.
The youths, therefore, urged Nigerians to be wary of the antics of the Governor, whom they described as a double-faced politician and should not be taken with any tinge of seriousness.
“We are fully aware that what El Rufai is saying today against Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is purely a sign of his inordinate ambition for 2019, unfortunately he is by no means a match to a political giant like Alhaji Atiku Abubakar,” the statement further read.
The group therefore advised El-Rufai to concentrate on his job as the Governor of Kaduna State, which he has been elected for, for a period of four years and stop his futile effort of bringing to disrepute the long standing relevance, integrity and international acceptability of Abubakar
