Ekebedi Community Pays Thank You Visit To Rep. Sam Onuigbo

Ekebedi, one of the communities in Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency on January 3rd 2018, paid a thank you visit to the honourable member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency, Rep. Samuel Ifeanyichukwu Onuigbo, in his country home, in Obuohia, Obi-Ibere, Ikwuano L.G.A Abia State.

Addressing the honorable federal house member, the leader of the community’s delegation and traditional Prime Minister of Ala-ala Oboro Autonomous community, Chief Dr. Obioma Eleogu, told him that Ekebedi community during her yearly developmental meeting on 26/12/2017 resolved to send the delegation to thank him for matching his words with action.

Chief Onuigbo during his campaign for election to the federal house had promised the people of Ekebedi that if elected, he will either renovate the existing classroom blocks, in the community’s primary school, which looks very colonial or erect a set of new classroom blocks. And in keeping with his electoral promise four classroom blocks are almost completed in the community.

Speaking further Chief Eleogu told Chief Onuigbo that he has stamped his name on the sand of time in the community’s history by being the first politician to make a promise to the community, and unbendingly fulfil the promise. The delegation stated that Rep. Onuigbo has proved himself to be a man of integrity, and one whose word is his bond.

Chief Eleogu conveyed the entire community’s gratitude to him, while informing him that many of their graduate youths are unemployed. The delegation used the opportunity of the visit to appeal to stakeholders in Abia PDP to ensure that Hon. Onuigbo is returned to the federal house to continue his good and quality representation of Ikwuano/ Umuahia in the House of Representatives. The delegation opined that Ikwuano-Umuahia deserves a ranking member come 2019.

Responding Chief Onuigbo whose chieftaincy title is Odozi Obodo, thanked the Ekebedi community generously, while promising to do more, if re-elected.
