Edo Guber Elections Will Be Conclusive– INEC

Trailed by several accusations of incompetence that has led to many elections being inconclusive, post- Goodluck Jonathan Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has assured Nigerians that the upcoming Edo State elections will be conclusive.

This assurance was given by Mr. Sam Olumekun, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state. Mr. Olumekun was speaking on Monday, at the commission’s voter education implementation meeting in Benin. The REC, who pointed out that the meeting was convened to look at ways to sustain voter education before the elections, stated that past incidences of election inconclusiveness was not INEC’s fault, but rather a result of violence and thuggery.

The Edo State governorship election holds on September 12.
