Conte Blasts Mourinho Over Moses Snub At Chelsea

Chelsea Manager Antonio Conte has taken a swipe at his predecessor Jose Mourinho for underestimating the immense talents of Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses.

The 25-year-old has continued to thrive in his new position as a wing-back after Conte switched to a 3-4-3 formation. This has helped Blues who have now won their last six Premier League games without conceding a goal.

The contribution of the ‎Super Eagles forward has caught the eyes of the world and has drawn lots of praise for the player.

Moses joined Chelsea from Wigan Athletic in 2012 but was sent out on loan to Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United during Mourinho’s reign, which ended in December last year.

“I could see his potential from the first days of the summer training camp” the Italian coach told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Moses has important qualities: technique, physical strength, the ability to cover 70m of the pitch. I find it incredible that someone like him has been underestimated.”

Chelsea are currently at the top of the league table, with just three points separating first and fourth.
