Confirmed: ‎Mikel Finally Seals China Deal

All speculations on the transfer of Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel can now be put to rest as the Super Eagles captain has completed a move to the Chinese Super League club, Tianjin Teda.

Mikel has become the latest big name player to join the ‎Chinese revolution after ‎a medical in the port city some 130 kilometres from Beijing on Thursday.

The Asian Football Confederation have therefore  confirmed on Friday that the 29-year-old, who spent more than a decade at Stamford Bridge will now be plying his trade in China.

Local media reports in China say he will earn 140,000 pounds a week which is equivalent to 54 million naira.

Mikel fell out with Antonio Conte for allegedly leaving the team to play in the Olympics and as a result, was not included in the team despite training with the first team where he spent 11-years of his career.
