Clinton Surges Clear of Sanders in Huge Super Tuesday Wins

–Nnaemeka Oruh

From the moment she declared her intention to run for the presidency again, Hillary Clinton was considered a frontrunner for the Democratic party, and many believed she would win the nominations easily. That was until Senator Bernie Sanders began to wow everybody. Then at New Hampshire, Bernie made Hillary bite the dust. It was time for Clinton to reflect and be more strategic.

Results from the Super Tuesday Democratic primaries have however restored Clinton as the frontrunner. Clinton was declared winner in the states of Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Texas and Massachusetts, which are delegate-rich states.Bernie Sanders won Vermont, Oklahoma, Colorado and Minnesota.

Clinton’s victory follows a huge win in South Carolina, and further extends her lead over Senator Sanders. The camp of both candidates perceive March the 15th as a key date in the determination of the race,as Ohio and Florida hold their primaries that day, and have now thrown in everything towards preparing for it.
