Breaking News: Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly Resigns (Reason)

By Ikenga Chronicles December 30, 2016

The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Honourable Adams Dabutorudima has resigned.

According to a source close to the Rivers government, who spoke to Ikenga Chronicles, Honourable Dabutorudima had to resign because he was only holding forth for the duly elected 8th Assembly Speaker, Hon. Ikuniyi-Owaji Ibani (member representing Andoni Constituency) who had to go through Tribunal and Appeal Court processes, before being part of the re-run.

With the former Speaker now back, Hon. Dabutorudima had to make way for his ascension.
