Belarusian Clubs Desperate For Nigerian Striker

An 18-year old Nigerian, Emmanuel Josiah Udemezue who had just spent a season with an Albanian top professional side, FC Beselidhja Lezhe has been on the raider of a top Belarusian club.

The support striker has attracted interest from top professional sides from Belarus, as FC Minsk and FC Belcard Grodno are jostling to secure his signature in this summer transfer window.

Reports monitored from the official website of FC Minsk indicated the Nigerian is a top transfer target of the club owing to his exploits in the Albanian league.

Udemezue who moved from Moldova, where he spent two seasons, to Albania has become an influential figure in the Albanian League after giving a good account of himself by providing a good numbers of goal/assists as a right/left forward and also a support striker.

Meanwhile, a Turkish side, Balikesirspor is also keen to take the Nigerian on loan according to a statement made by Udemezue on his Twitter handle: “I learnt there is a negotiating with my club for possible loan move to Turkey’s Balikesirspor and FC Minsk of Belarus,but I would personally prefer any one that is ok.”

Udemezue, in an online chat with expressed his satisfactions with the Albanian league, saying the fans are accommodating and fantastic, and that he wished to win a laurel with his club at the end of this season before considering any move.

He added that “the fans here have shown some love to me and all the black players. There seems to be no ‘much’ racism here, especially the supporters of my club, they have been so good to me since joining this club and that has made my stay in Albania a memorable one.”
