ASATOA Throws Its Weight Behind Onuigbo’s Second Term Bid

Members of Abia State Amalgamated Tricycle Operators Association (ASATOA) Umuahia Zone have expressed their support for the political aspirations of the Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, the senator for Abia Central, Senator T.A.Orji, the member representing Ikwuano/ Umuahia federal constituency, Hon. Chief Sam Onuigbo, the Leader if Abia House of Assembly, Engr. Chinedum Orji and all candidates of the PDP in the forthcoming general elections.

The members who were unequivocal in making their position known when the Chairman of the Association Mr. Okechukwu Ijebuonwu led them on a solidarity visit to the member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency, Chief Sam Onuigbo, commended him for his effective and efficient representation of his constituents and urged him not to relent in his good works.

Also speaking, the Patron of the Association, Chief Jerry Mbaonu and Mr. Ojimadu Ahamefula described Chief Sam Onuigbo as a true representative of the people who has through hardwork and selfless service endeared himself to the people, adding that the association is happy to be associated with the PDP-led government in the state which has also performed creditably.

Responding, Chief Sam Onuigbo while appreciating the group for their thoughtfulness, support for him and the present administration in the state,assured them of sustaining his quality representation of his constituents.

Onuigbo who used the opportunity to intimate them of some of his achievements in the past three and half years at the National Assembly said the federal government has advertised the contract for the total reconstruction of the Umuahia-Ikwuano-Ikot Ekpene federal road, while that of an alternative federal road to be constructed through Okwe Oboro through Obuohia Ibere, to Nkari in Ini Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state has been captured in the 2018 budget of the federal government.

He stressed the need for more of such regular engagements and lauded his constituents for their support for him while pledging to do more for them, and called on them to go beyond the expressions of support to praticalizing it.
