The Taraba state chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC Alhaji Jika Ardo Hassan has assured the party faithfuls that the state was ready to take over the state from the People’s Democratic Party PDP.

Hassan said this in Jalingo today during the handing out of party Flags to winners of the party primaries ahead of council elections scheduled for February 7th this year.

According to Hassan, the party made sure that only credible candidates were presented for various positions to ensure that the party takes over the leadership of the councils ahead of 2019 general elections.

He said that the level of internal democracy entrenched in the party is a sure foundation for the party to take its place as the most popular party in the state.

“You will all agree with me that the party has presented the most credible candidate for the respective positions and all of them emerged through credible party primaries. With this I can assure you that the party is ready to take over the state not just in the forthcoming council elections but in the general election in 2019”.

Hassan further called on the people to work together to ensure that peace reigns in the state and to avoid acts that would bring about destruction of lives and property.

Taraba state council elections scheduled next month is considered by many to be a deciding moment whether the PDP would continue its reign or the ‘wind of change’ of the APC would be established in the state.
