Why Charly Boy Apologised To Saraki

Charles Oputa a.k.a Charly boy has tendered an apology to Senate President, Bukola Saraki over a post he put up through his Twitter handle.

Oputa, via his twitter handle @Areafada1 made an unverified post about the Senate President, mocking him over a picture where he was seen cleaning mud off his trousers.

Charly boy wrote; “E never start. Saraki after he escaped the mob attack by people of Lafiagi in his own state. May all those who have conspired to render us hopeless, penniless and frustrated, may nemesis catch up with them.”

A few hours later, Charly boy realized his mistake and offered an unreserved apology to Saraki.

He noticed that the picture was taken in 2012 when Saraki led a delegation to inspect the level of oil spillage in Ogoni in 2012.

Charly Boy wrote; “APOLOGY TO SENATE PRESIDENT SARAKI My earlier post on Senate President Bukola Saraki was incorrect. I admit I was in a hurry to post before verifying the veracity of the story. I apologize for this avoidable error.”

Senate President Bukola Saraki has since accepted the apology and advised that it will be easier to verify information before putting them out, and thus avoid the “avoidable sorry”.
