Italian FA Wants Conte To Dump Chelsea For National Team Job

The Italian football Association is seeking for coach Antonio Conte to dump Chelsea FC for the national team job.

Conte was named alongside Carlo Ancelotti, Roberto Mancini as candidates to fill the vacant post–the trio that the association believe can turn around Italy’s fortunes after they failed to qualify for this summer’s World Cup.

The association sacked manager Giampiero Ventura following Italy’s woeful campaign in November, while the FA itself has been without a President for the same period of time since Carlo Tavecchio’s resignation.

Conte is heavily linked with the job as he is believed to be having a sour relationship with the Blues.

However, the 48-year-old has already managed the Italian national team and said he became frustrated at the lack of time he got to spend with the players.
